9th week update: Collaborative Efforts, Company Visit, and FM Channel Messages

In the ninth week of our food waste management project at MAS Intimate Pannala, we engaged in productive collaborations, conducted a company visit, and made progress in video production. Additionally, we focused on finalizing FM channel message topics to effectively communicate our message. This update provides a summary of the key activities and achievements during this week.

1. Finalizing FM Channel Message Topics:

During Week 9, our team diligently worked on finalizing the topics for the FM channel messages. We carefully selected relevant themes and messages that would effectively convey the importance of food waste management to the wider audience. By refining these topics, we aim to raise awareness and encourage behavioral change.

2. Meeting with Dr. Thushanthi:

In our pursuit of continuous improvement, we met with Dr. Thushanthi to discuss upcoming activities and seek her valuable insights. We engaged in productive discussions about strategies to further enhance our project's impact and effectiveness. Dr. Thushanthi's expertise and guidance were instrumental in shaping our plans for the future.

3. Project Meeting:

During this week, we scheduled and conducted a project meeting. The meeting served as a platform for team members to share updates, address any challenges, and align our efforts towards achieving project objectives. By fostering open communication and collaboration, we ensured that everyone was on the same page and working towards a common goal. This was arranged at NutriHub.

4. Company Visit to MAS Intimates:

One of the significant highlights of Week 9 was our visit to MAS Intimates. During the visit, we had fruitful discussions with Mr. Sandaruwan, the project officer, and a food wastage record keeper. They provided us with two months' worth of food wastage data, which will be analyzed and graphically presented to gain insights into the magnitude of the issue. This data will help us develop effective strategies for food waste reduction and management.

5. Ongoing Video Production:

The video production process continued during Week 9. Our team remained dedicated to capturing and documenting various aspects of food waste management. Through engaging visuals and informative content, these videos will play a crucial role in spreading awareness and encouraging sustainable practices within MAS Intimate Pannala.

Week 9 of our food waste management project was marked by productive collaborations, a company visit, and progress in video production. Finalizing FM channel message topics, meeting with Dr. Thushanthi, conducting a project meeting, and analyzing the food wastage data obtained during the visit were significant milestones achieved during this week. We remain committed to making a positive impact in reducing food waste at MAS Intimate Pannala and look forward to further progress in the coming weeks.
