Week 14 - Project Conclusion: Successful Completion and Gratitude to Stakeholders

 In the fourteenth and final week of our food waste management project at MAS Intimate Pannala, we successfully concluded our efforts with the submission of all project materials. This update outlines the completion and finalization of key deliverables, including awareness videos, posters, FM channel messages, menu preparations, and food waste reports analysis. Additionally, we express our heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed to the success of this project.

 

1. Finalizing Deliverables with Dr. Thushanthi's Feedback:

As we approached the end of our project, we eagerly awaited Dr. Thushanthi's feedback on our deliverables, which included awareness videos, posters, FM channel messages, menus, and food waste reports analysis. With her valuable comments, we addressed any identified issues and finalized these materials to ensure their effectiveness in raising awareness and promoting responsible food waste management.

 

2. Successful Completion of Awareness Videos, Posters, FM Channel Messages, and Menus:

During the final week, we successfully completed the production of engaging awareness videos, visually impactful posters, persuasive FM channel messages, and well-curated menus. Each of these deliverables is aimed at inspiring the employees at MAS Intimate Pannala to actively participate in reducing food waste and adopting sustainable practices.



 


3. Comprehensive Food Waste Reports Analysis:

Throughout the project, we meticulously analyzed the food waste reports collected from MAS Intimate Pannala. This analysis provided valuable insights into the organization's food waste generation patterns, facilitating the formulation of data-driven strategies to minimize waste.

 

4. Meeting to Discuss Final Output:

As part of the final week activities, we conducted a meeting to review the overall project output. We assessed the impact of our initiatives and ensured that all deliverables were aligned with the project's objectives. This final evaluation reaffirmed the positive impact our project has made in fostering responsible food waste management practices.



 

5. Submission of Project Materials to MAS Intimates:

With a sense of accomplishment, we visited MAS Intimates to formally submit all project materials. We presented the awareness videos, posters, FM channel messages, menus, and food waste reports analysis, all of which will play a vital role in continuing the momentum of the project.

Week 13 Update: Project Review, Finalized Posters and Audio Messages, Menu Preparations

 In the thirteenth week of our food waste management project at MAS Intimate Pannala, we made significant strides in various aspects of the project. This update highlights our meeting with Dr. Thushanthi to discuss progress and challenges, the finalization of poster topics, the completion of audio message recordings, and the ongoing preparations for menus and posters.

 

Project Review Meeting with Dr. Thushanthi:

During Week 13, we had an important project review meeting with Dr. Thushanthi. We discussed the overall progress of the initiative, shared the achievements, and also openly addressed the difficulties we have been facing, including the challenges in scheduling a meeting with her in the previous weeks. Her feedback and support continue to be instrumental in guiding our efforts.

 
Finalization of Poster Topics:

As part of our efforts to raise awareness about food waste management, we finalized the topics for the posters. These posters will visually convey key messages and tips for reducing food waste to the employees at MAS Intimate Pannala. With the topics now determined, we are moving forward with the design and creation of these informative visuals.

 

Completion of Audio Message Recordings:

During Week 13, we successfully completed the recording process for the FM channel audio messages. These messages have been carefully crafted to effectively communicate the importance of responsible food waste management and encourage behavioral changes among the listeners. We are eager to broadcast these messages and reach a wider audience.



 Ongoing Menu and Poster Preparations:

Simultaneously, our team has been actively preparing both menus and posters. For menu planning, we are working collaboratively with the food committee and other stakeholders to design menus that reduce food waste while ensuring the nutritional needs and preferences of the employees are met. In parallel, we are also designing and creating the posters to visually reinforce the key messages and drive awareness within the organization.



Week 13 of our food waste management project marked substantial progress, including a productive meeting with Dr. Thushanthi, finalization of poster topics, successful completion of audio message recordings, and continued preparations for menus and posters. Week 12 Update: Challenges, Poster Ideas, Menu Planning, and FM Channel Messages

 During the twelfth week of our food waste management project at MAS Intimate Pannala, we faced some challenges in meeting with Thushanthi Madam. Nevertheless, we continued to make progress by collecting ideas for posters, engaging in menu planning discussions, and recording FM channel messages. This update highlights the key activities and developments during this week.

 

Challenges in Meeting with Thushanthi Madam:

In Week 12, we faced difficulties in scheduling a meeting with Thushanthi Madam despite our best efforts. We attempted to arrange a meeting on two to three occasions, but due to conflicting schedules or unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to connect with her. We remain committed to finding a suitable time for this crucial meeting to seek her valuable insights and guidance.

 

Poster Idea Collection:

During this week, we focused on collecting ideas for creating informative posters. These posters will play a crucial role in raising awareness about food waste management among the MAS Intimate Pannala community. We brainstormed creative and impactful designs to visually convey the importance of reducing food waste and the steps individuals can take to contribute to the cause.

 

Menu Planning Discussions:

As part of our ongoing collaboration with MAS Intimate Pannala, we engaged in discussions about menu planning. By working closely with the food committee and other stakeholders, we aim to design menus that minimize food waste while still meeting the nutritional needs and preferences of the employees.

 

FM Channel Message Recording:

Despite limited time availability, we managed to record some of the FM channel messages. These messages serve as an important medium to reach a wide audience and inspire behavioral change towards responsible food waste management. While we were unable to record all the messages during this week, we are committed to completing the recording process in the upcoming weeks.



Week 12 posed its share of challenges with the inability to meet Thushanthi Madam on a few attempts. However, we continued to make progress in other areas, including collecting ideas for posters, engaging in menu planning discussions, and recording FM channel messages. As we move forward, we remain dedicated to overcoming challenges and persistently working towards our mission of promoting sustainable food waste management practices at MAS Intimate Pannala.

Week 11 Update: Quality Checks, Lincom Project Participation, and Analyzing Food Waste Reports

 In the eleventh week of our food waste management project at MAS Intimate Pannala, we focused on ensuring the quality of our deliverables, actively participating in the Lincom project of the school nutrition programme, and analyzing food waste reports. This update highlights the key activities and achievements during this productive week.

1.       Quality Check of Videos:

During Week 11, we completed the video production process and submitted the final videos to Thushanthi Madam for quality checking. Her expertise and feedback are crucial in ensuring that the videos effectively convey the message of food waste management and engage the audience. This step is vital in delivering impactful content to drive positive behavioral change.

 

2.       Participation in Lincom Project:

In line with our commitment to community involvement, we actively participated in the Lincom project of the school nutrition programme. Collaborating with the school nutrition initiative allowed us to share insights on food waste reduction and management, extending the benefits of our project to a wider audience.

 


3.       FM Channel Script Quality Check:

We completed the scripts for the FM channel messages and sent them to both Thushanthi Madam and Mr. Sandaruwan for their review. Their input and validation ensure that the messages are informative, persuasive, and tailored to resonate with the MAS Intimate Pannala community.

 

4.       Food Waste Reports Analysis:

During Week 11, we diligently analyzed the food waste reports collected from MAS Intimate Pannala. WEEK 10 Update: Progress on Multiple Fronts and Collaboration with Key Stakeholders

In the tenth week of our food waste management project at MAS Intimate Pannala, we witnessed significant progress on various fronts. This update highlights our productive meeting with Dr. Thushanthi, preparations for FM channel scripts, continued video production, and communication with Mr. Sandaruwan regarding their food committee.

1.     Productive Meeting with Dr. Thushanthi:

During Week 10, we had a fruitful meeting with Dr. Thushanthi to discuss the project's status and future directions. We shared our recent achievements, challenges faced, and sought her expert guidance on addressing potential roadblocks. Her valuable input and support continue to play a vital role in ensuring the project's success.

 

2.  Preparing FM Channel Scripts:

 During Week 9, a significant achievement was the finalization of FM channel message topics for our food waste management project. This milestone was accompanied by an important development: Madam, a key stakeholder in the project, granted us her permission and support.

We actively collaborated with Madam throughout the week, engaging in discussions about our project goals, objectives, and communication strategies. Her expertise in waste management and understanding of the local context were invaluable in shaping the direction of our FM channel messages.

To ensure the effectiveness of our FM channel messages, we conducted thorough planning and research. We carefully analyzed the target audience, considering their demographics, interests, and behaviors related to food waste. This information allowed us to tailor our messages to resonate with the listeners and motivate them towards positive change.

After refining and fine-tuning the FM channel message topics, we presented the final selection to Madam. Recognizing the significance of the messages and their potential impact, she provided her permission and approval for their implementation. This endorsement reinforced our confidence in the chosen topics and their alignment with our project objectives.

With Madam's approval secured, we are now prepared to move forward with the production and broadcast of the FM channel messages. Our team is actively collaborating with professionals in the field of audio production to ensure the messages are delivered effectively, with an engaging and persuasive tone.



9th week update: Collaborative Efforts, Company Visit, and FM Channel Messages

In the ninth week of our food waste management project at MAS Intimate Pannala, we engaged in productive collaborations, conducted a company visit, and made progress in video production. Additionally, we focused on finalizing FM channel message topics to effectively communicate our message. This update provides a summary of the key activities and achievements during this week.

During Week 9, our team diligently worked on finalizing the topics for the FM channel messages. 4. Company Visit to MAS Intimates:

One of the significant highlights of Week 9 was our visit to MAS Intimates. During the visit, we had fruitful discussions with Mr. Sandaruwan, the project officer, and a food wastage record keeper. They provided us with two months' worth of food wastage data, which will be analyzed and graphically presented to gain insights into the magnitude of the issue. This data will help us develop effective strategies for food waste reduction and management.



5. Ongoing Video Production:

The video production process continued during Week 9. Our team remained dedicated to capturing and documenting various aspects of food waste management. Through engaging visuals and informative content, these videos will play a crucial role in spreading awareness and encouraging sustainable practices within MAS Intimate Pannala.
